Stellantis revives the Airflow name

… for a proposed new EV. It is apparently being developed as a direct competitor to the Mustang Mach-E:

Fortunately for Stellantis, the failed model that carried the Airflow name is all but forgotten.

Why would anyone buy an EV from a company that seems to have endless electrical problems with their ICE cars?

Because they have heard of the legendary excellence of Peugeots and Fiats, and are eager to experience French/Italian engineering?

i read the title as “Airstream” and was very confused by the picture…

This “rolling eyes” emoji is the closest that I could find.

I remember the name but suspect most buyers do not. The back story may be what happened to people in the automotive industry with any imagination? They just keep repeating what didn’t work before. Is the new electric Edsel far behind?

With Buick reportedly using the Electra name for a range of EV models it must depend on what names they have the rights to use.
