2020's Ugliest Car

Like there are 2 kinds of bikers, those that have been down and those that are going to go down!

The original opinion of the auto world was “An Olds sucking a lemon”

I’m not sure if your comment was meant for me . . .

But I personally think all Edsels are beautiful, compared to the Tesla truck in its current form

There were 15 Edsels at the Toytown Car show in East Aurora NY in 2019. The Toytown name is because it was where Fisher Price toys were made before they were sold to Mattel and all the production jobs were sent overseas.

Ahhh… brings old times back… just before I had my real driver license and I bombed around on my Sears Allstate (Puch) moped, I was dating and hanging out with a girl who had an older sister. We went on double dates with that sister and her boyfriend who happened to own an Edsel. I logged quite a few backseat miles in that Edsel. Thanks for the memories.

Apparently, you’ve never seen an Edsel.

LOL someone beat those two cars with an ugly stick.

My wife and I have loved the 1958 Edsel for a long time. The 1959 got a little ugly and the 60 looks like the 1960 Ford with add on garbage.

Flat surfaces are like pushing sheets of plywood.

I also thought the Edsels were pretty. Back in the day when I was much younger a new door neighbor bought a new one and really liked it.

I don’t think the Edsel was that bad a car. I actually did a pre-purchase inspection on one about 15 years ago. It was stone original, had every little rust except a bit of surface rust on the suspension, and ran/drove great. Kind of a two tone beige which wasn’t really to my tastes.

The Edsel to me failed (just my opinion) because Ford just duplicated another land cruiser to compete with their other land cruisers from Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln. Too many fish in the aquarium so to speak.

Not meant for you. But Edsels were Butt ugly to some. Including me. Some said they looked like an Olds sucking a lemon. Now, currently we have the high priced spread LEXUS.
Ewww! Now that’s ugly! It looks like it was sired by a Ford Snowplow!

As you pretty much said . . . beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I don’t share your opinion about that Lexus

That’s OK. We’re all friends here.
(Snowplow)

I know people who thought the Aztek and Gremlin were great look cars.

One of the reasons that cars are no longer selling. They have made them look so stupid no one wants one . At least some of the suv’s still look semi normal .

How about that crazy grille on the late, unlamented Edsel?

Used car salesman used to say there is an S for every seat.

It’s amazing what a few changes in fascia can do for a car. While I thought the Aztec was ugly, I found the Buick twin, the Rendezvous, acceptable.

I’m with you on that

Wow . . .

Don’t forget the AMC Pacer
