I liked the Pacer a lot, A short 6 passenger car. Look what a behemoth you have to have to haul 6 people today. I loved my 92 Plymouth Voyager short wheelbase for the same reason. You could haul 7 adults comfortably and a little luggage or take out the short seat and move the wide bench forward and you could haul a whole bunch and 5 adults. With both bench seats out you had 6 1/2 feet of space behind the front seats, the same as today’s standard bed full size pickup. Go up to the long wheelbase minivan and you could close the hatch on 4 x 8 plywood or drywall. And nothing got wet. The stow and go seats in the new ones are handy for hauling but lousy seats except for kids. We have replaced function for what exactly?

If you take a look at the photos accompanying this article, you will see BMW’s Concept I-4.
Now, that’s ugly!

I agree. Most of the I4 looks fine, but those outsized dog nostrils are ugly and I’m not fond of the black fascia below them.
I bet, and hope, the i4 has more flattering angles than the one they used for that picture.
Agree that put’s the ug in ugly.
The description of “Olds sucking a lemon” was the general consensus back in the day.
My wife and I love the 1958 Edsel. The front of the latest Toyotas and other cars look like they were designed by PREDITOR
