I have a 1998 Buick century,the wipers always stop in the up position when turned off,if you have the wipers on pulse,they will go down in between wipe cycles.Shut them off and they stay up.Any ideas?

Just type in “GM wiper motor pulse board” into your search engine, and see if this describes what’s happening.

Disconnect the multi-function switch electrical connector (under the dash).

If the wipers now park, replace the multi-function switch. If the wipers still don’t park,check the wiring from the wiper motor to the switch for a short circuit. If the circuits are good, replace the wiper motor.

If you don’t want to try that, you can follow Testers suggestion to the same end.
