@sgtrock, the battery in question that I mentioned is not into the pro-rated part yet. It’s 5 months old and is supposed to be a free full replacement for 2 years. The only issue is that their tester is not seeing the big picture and is claiming the battery is good; just low on charge.
Of course it’s low; it won’t take a full charge no matter what.
I’ve come to the conclusion a long time ago that no one at Wal Mart understands how a battery operates…
Incidentally, in case anyone is interested in that nice garage that the Hudson is parked in front of, it is one of two remaining buildings from the old Fleischman’s Whisky distillery.
The distillery, which was across the street, burned down about 100 years ago, leaving only two garage-type buildings that the company also owned. Somebody recently spent a lot of money restoring the buildings, and parked in front of the other building is a Ford pickup that looks to be from the early '50s and is so rusty overall that it looks like it had been submerged in the ocean. I have never spoken to the owner of the Hudson, but I assume that he owns both it and the Ford pickup, as well as the buildings.
Spent Saturday morning mowing the lawn and picking peaches from our tree. Sunday, went to church and then drove 40 miles (in a 2013 Honda Fit–keeping it automotive) to visit my parents and celebrate my mom’s birthday several days early–we brought the food. Monday, had several friends and neighbors come over to pick peaches off our tree. My wife and I spent that afternoon assembling an Ikea chest of drawers for our 10 year old son. Monday evening we had In-N-Out hamburgers. And I did see a nicely restored 1957 Dodge truck over the weekend.
