Weird glitch

The glitch/bug on this forum is becoming very interesting these days.

As shown in the snapshot above, the glitch makes it look like it was me who wrote the whole message, when in truth it was our forum member “ George “ who did.

Upon stumbling across this glitch, I was speechless; I thought my account was hacked and someone was using my account to write on here. But then when I scrolled down below my username, I noticed George wrote the same message.

Hopefully the mods can solve these annoying glitches.

I see that same problem. Sorry you are frustrated by it. I see it frequently. It only seems be visible to the person posting a new post to the thread, nobody else sees it, so suggest to just ignore. The next time you reload the thread it will be gone.

Not so much as frustrated but was kinda panicked lol.

You know, I’m reading stuff the site says I said which I never said lol.

This has been occurring for months, if a reply is added while reading a thread, the replies become jumbled.

Refresh the page.

Thank you. Sent the discussion link to support.

Are you using the site on mobile, desktop, etc?

Hello Cdaquila. I’m using an Apple iPhone. Browser: Safari.

Same answer as Nevada, Refresh the page…

Follow up question. Has anyone duplicated this on a desktop? (The Discourse team did note there are some coding issues and we are in process of refining the diagnostic stuff, but it’s extra data.)

Thanks.

Yes, common occurrence here, dell desktop, Edge browser. I see it in PM messages here too.

Yeah, the PM messages are utterly ridiculous trying to read and reread again…

No issues with my mac desktop and firefox and adblock.

Hi. Discourse tech wrote me and said they thought they identified an issue creating the PM problem. Any success? I’m about to try mine now.

Update. Still no success with PMs on desktop or mobile. have sent screenshots.

@cdaquila , suggest to review the comments already posted about software glitches here in the “site feedback” section.

Noted, thank you.

Apparently fix has not been fully pushed for at least PMs. Will keep an eye on things.

We tested PMs within the Car Talk team and seems they are displaying correctly again. Want to try?

I can finally read messages from 6 months ago, this problem started in April.

I can confirm that I can read my PM’s now, and see why my crap was flagged much easier…

I mean the PM’s from fellow members…

Thanks for following through cdaquila…

I can also confirm that my PM issue is being fixed.

That’s great. I’m sorry for the trouble but I’m glad it’s repaired now.
