The steering wheel control buttons no longer work. Horn,radio volume,ac temp any thoughts checked the fuse for the horn, its fine. At one point when the steering wheel was at a certain position it would work. Not anymore

There may be some slip rings involved and they are dirty. Cleaning them may help fix this.

My prime suspect would be the clock spring in the hub of the steering wheel.

If you are going to attempt this repair yourself, be sure that you know how to deactivate the airbags. Otherwise, you are likely to get a very explosive surprise–right in your face.

I used a can of compressed air , that did the trick

There are no slip rings. It uses a clockspring instead.
