Programing a new key ring remote

How can I program a new key ring remote for our 2006 Hyundai Azera?

I’m probably going out on a limb with this advice, but I think that–more than likely–the Owner’s Manual would contain this info. Lacking that, then a visit to the dealership should result in a solution to the problem.

Do a Google for key FOB replacements and you may find the actual instructions for programming a new one. Or like me, it was a dealer requirement with the proper scanning equipment. Only cost $70 though.

I have tried following the instructions in the owners manual…have the dealer do it!

You need to know a “guy.” I knew a "guy " who did it for my Saturn for $15 instead of the $70 or $80 the dealer wanted. Really, he was just the owner of the independent shop I sometimes use. I just lucked out that he knew how to do it. I didn’t want to try it myself for fear of screwing up and messing up the programming on both key fabs.
