Wow this is a no brainer! Ms. Peel of course! A pun on the sexy girl from the TV show ‘The Avengers’ and of course the phrase ‘peel out’ describing quick acceleration. It’s all British and proper of course!

I also have a 1952 MG TD, red. I love it and it runs perfectly - after some work by my husband. I could not see in the picture if you also carry a jug of water in the boot for when it overheats.
I call mine “My Gal” and you could call yours “My Guy”
Maybe we should get them together and they could have “Lil’ Guys and Gals.”
Love your show!
Or Elmer.
Or something with the word “kneecap” in there.

Ol? Blue, because it provides an opportunity to pointlessly provoke annoyance amongst the innocent citizenry even greater that currently provoked by Tommy?s failure ever to remember the puzzler. Here?s how it could work:
Well-meaning citizen: ?Why?d you name your MG Ol? Blue, Tommy??
Tommy: ?No reason.?
WMC: ?C?mon, there must be a reason.?
T: ?No, there’s no reason.?
WMC: ?Was it blue before you painted it red??
T: ?No.?
WMC: ?Is it because your MG is so faithful??
T: ?Certainly not.?
WMC: ?Then why?d you do it??
T: ?No reason.?
And so forth?
HELL BOY
Mr Magoo fits this car just right
Name it “Afteryou”. That way, whenever anyone asks you the name of your car you can tell them “I named it after you”. (Then she says 'oh, you named it Linda?) Its also appropriate because you probably have to let a lot of cars pass you while you push it to the garage.
