Hi All , My boss has a 2013 Lambo Aventador and he has purchased a new airbag conrol module which needs to be coded to the car. We are looking for a mechanic who can do this? Any help would be great.
We are based in Hertfordshire UK!
I’d ask the guys at Z Sport on the corner of Smith & 36th
Now that you have edited your post, I guess my answer is useless.
This is a mostly USofA forum and I don’t think we have any regulars fron the UK .
Might try this shop
I am sorry you don’t have Google or DuckDuckGo in the UK. They are really helpful in situations like these.
I would imagine that Mr. Mustang found that repair shop in less time than it took me to refill my coffee cup.
We do have google and i have searched google & asked many mechanics this seems to be a specialist job.
Have you checked with that shop?
I am waiting for a response
This is most likely a dealer type of repair . Why did he not just take it to a dealer in the first place ?
He brought it second hand and the actual Lamborghini dealership would charge triple the price than someone who has a coding device etc
“Saving money” and “Owning a Lamborghini” are incompatible.
I’m sorry, but if your boss can afford to own, insure and drive a (still)$300,000 usd car, he can afford to take it to the dealer…Can you even begin to imagine the cost of an oops on a car like that?? Not trying to be mean, just blunt, it’s not a BMW 3 series…
In the US shops that are qualified to work on exotic cars cost about the same as dealers. If a shop was 1/3 the cost I would question their qualifications.
I guess the thing to do is contact Mike Brewer of Wheeler Dealers . He can find someone in the UK to fix this.
So it’s less a problem of how to get it done…than finding a “cheaper” way to get the work done.
Agree with the other comments on paying the price to own a Lambo.
That’s more something to ask Jeremy Clarkson I think.
