Hyuandi badge fell off

I know that it’s not the most important thing in the world right now but the emblem fell off the hatch of my 07 Tuscan and one of my neighbors was nice enough to leave it on my door step.
What’s the best all weather, metal to plastic glue to use to place it back where it belongs?

3M trim adhesive tape.

It comes in different widths/thicknesses for the application. And probably what was used at the factory to apply any badging.

But, both surfaces must be cleaned off before using.

Thank you Tester!

I use the liquid stuff in a tube. 3m emblem adhesive. You get it at a parts store like Napa.

+1 for trim adhesive and completely clean surfaces.

You might rethink gluing the emblem back on after cleaning the painted surface of the Tucson. IMO the badges detract from the SUV. It’s your ride though, and you should do what you want.

It actually is part of a much larger piece of trim that goes across the entire hatch. It’s the “H” in the middle.
Anyways. Cleaned it up, got 1/4 in 3m tape and hope for the best.

I’ve used epoxy glue for that, seems to work ok. The tape idea sounds easier and less likely to mar the surface though.

The first time it happened about a year ago, I used Crazy Glue.
Obviously that did not hold up well to the elements.
I’ve used the 3M tape on our rain guards and they seem to last a long time.

And yes, this time around I was scraping crazy glue off of the spot in the hatch for over an hour. Not a good idea.

Next time, use brake parts cleaner.
