I’ve had to stop various opiates cold turkey a few times and I hope never to again. It’s an ugly business. Even tapering down is rough if you’re on a substantial dose of morphine (as I am.) I don’t like the side effects much, either, so all the best to everyone dealing with serious pain. I hope you find some kind of pain med, Wes, that you can tolerate better. Buprenorphine (patches, mostly) is getting quite popular as easier to tolerate than most alternatives. And anyone taking strong pain meds, please drive carefully (or not at all.) Especially if you drink.
