When turning the wheel right a strange noise/vibration in the front end. Does not happen when turning left or going straight. Noticeable only over 40MPH
Most likely a bad wheel bearing in the left front. Depending on the definition of grinding, a badly worn tire with an odd wear pattern can also make all kinds of noise.
The first thing I’d do is just stick my head down there & look for a loose splash shield or a piece of debris. While you’re looking make sure your lug nuts are ok.
If that turns up nothing move to tires & bearings as ok4450 says. After that, I’d move on to a possible CV joint problem.
