I have a 97’ Honda Civic EX.
Occasionally my clutch makes a loud (1 sec. or so) squeak as it is released. This happens more often on hill starts, or when accelerating aggressively. I have not been able to reproduce the squeak under other conditions (e.g. in neutral). There is no vibration or slipping of the clutch that I’ve noticed. Any thoughts on what the culprit is? Fanbelt? Pilot bearing? …
Could it be the pedal at the pivot point? If use try a good spray lube (WF-40 is NOT a lube, but it may be used to trouble shoot)
