I have a 2002 Chevy Malibu and the air blows cold and the blower works, but the compressor cycles on and off intermittently. When the compressor turns off, the air gets very hot and humid, then shortly after it will cycle back on, the LED indicator on the AC button will turn back on and the air resumes it’s cold flow. If I change the blower speed up or down, sometimes that will make it cycle back on faster than just waiting for it to do it on it’s own. Additionally, the recirc (the max air button) won’t stay engaged either. As soon as I let go of the button, it switches back to ‘regular air’ mode.
Anyone else have this issue? If so, how’d you get it resolved? and how much did it cost?
