Acura Tranny Fluid Replacement question

Hi

Integra 1987 AT

I had the tranny replaced at 139k, 2.5 yrs ago.

I bought a used tranny - not a rebuilt.

Currently it has 146k!

Should I still replace the tranny fluid given its only done 7k?

Manual states every 2yr or xx miles.

Its the 2nd car and does like 2.5k-3k per year.

You would do well to replace the fluid, since its time interval has come and gone. Stuff wears with age as well as mileage, especially if most of this minimal driving is stop-and-go short hops.

Fluid is much less expensive than another transmission. I’d replace it.

Yeah, besides that, I’m pretty sure that one has a drain plug for the tranny. You have to look for it a little but about a 15 minute job to change.

1987 car, personally I would wait as the rest of the car may not keep on going. That car would be swiss cheese with rust in my locale (NH).

It won’t hurt, but I personally would not spend more than $75 on the fluid change.
