I have a 2010 Mercury Mariner that my wife really loves. The ABS system has failed and our mechanic has been trying to source a new one. Unfortunately, Ford no longer makes them and the mechanic hasn’t been able to source a new one. The mechanic says he has tried to put in used ones in the past, but hasn’t been very successful at getting them to link to the car systems. I guess there is an electronic interface. I am hoping that someone in this fine group has a new one laying around in their shop, or has any experience with them. My wife is a bit broken hearted.
Contact this company… They rebuild ABS units. Yours is essentially the same as a Ford Escape of the same year.

Might try another mechanic, too.
I’d be pretty surprised to not be able to get parts for a 15 year old vehicle, especially one that’s essentially a rebadged Ford. Might even take it to a Ford dealer.
New ABS control units are typically not easy to get for older vehicles
Those rebuild outfits often do an outstanding job and the price is usually very reasonable
