I was wondering where the starter is on a 98 VW Jetta, and to replace it. Also a rough estimate on how long it would take.

If you can’t locate the starter on your Jetta you should probably not try to replace it yourself. Some starters are easy to reach and replace, and others are a REAL pain. I’ve never personally replaced the starter on a Jetta, so I can’t say which category it falls into, but, as I said, if you can’t locate it . . .
