my taurus makes a thumping noise as i’m turning slightly to the right, and it only starts when i accelerate to 40 mph and up. after that it goes away when i go passed 60 mph. the rotors have just been turned so i don’t think that’s the problem.
Considering the noise is a thump, I would look at the right rear engine/transmission mount.
This mount is the most problematic one on the car and failure of this mount is not that rare.
they found the problem. it was a bad right front wheel bearing.
