Took our CR-V (33,000 miles) in for service and was told the next time it came in would need to have the transmission fluid changed. Does this need to be done? I can remember driving some of my cars with hundreds of thousands of miles and never changing the fluid.
Without looking in your owners manual and seeing what Honda specifies, I would say yes. Typical recommendation on these forums is to change it every 30k miles
Not to be snarky but Welcome to the 21st century! This car has a continuously variable transmission or CVT. It gets better fuel economy than a conventional automatic. But, it is very different than conventional automatic transmissions and requires fluid changes to keep them running properly.
