Only when my wife backs out of the garage the brakes squeal a lot. Going forward they never squeal. We have had them checked by a mechanic that says there is plenty of pad left on the brakes. What is causing this and how will we know when the brakes really need replaced?
Some brakes do this. Some don’t. It doesn’t mean the brakes won’t work when call upon AND better to squeal in reverse than forward.
They will squeal going forward and make a different pitch.
Better to have them inspected when you rotate tires. You DO rotate tires, right?
