2011 Dodge Durango - Wheel bearings? Whirring

Not an uncommon problem by reports here, esp for a 12 year old vehicle. Aftermarket calipers seems to get pretty good results. Aftermarket brake pads, not as much. The forum search feature will reveal all, link upper right this page.

Just curious, does your shop believe the noise was caused by a faulty wheel bearing? Or do they think it was caused by the caliper problem?

For help w/ the check engine light suggest to post the diagnostic codes. When the CEL turns on, there are almost certainly some corresponding diagnostic codes stored in the computer memory. In any event, good for you for sticking w/it, and enjoy your mostly noise-free Durango.

ok here is what the mechanic said : he called us and said: i put on the parts you sent over, BUT ? the piston in the caliper would NOT push back in, he could see where it was making the brake hot … i guess it was the caliper … idk
