My dealership says I need a transfer case reseal at cost of $1,518.30 and oil pan reseal at $199.71. Is this reasonable? mileage is 117,000. I am a 77 yr old granny and have driven it carefully and always done maintenance at the dealer where I purchased it new. Hope to not be burdened with car payments and planning on this lasting a few more years.
Is your car losing fluids ? Leaving marks in your parking spot.
Get a second opinion at an independent shop which may be less expensive . If it is not leaking very much just keep an eye on the fluid levels.
Dealers are more tuned to write up every small leak just to keep their selves from having to explain later why they did not say something.
