2008 Infiniti G35 transmission dilemma

My 2008 Infiniti G35x with 177 k miles needs transmission work. I have 3 choices:

  1. have a used transmission w/ 91k miles installed for $2k
  2. have tranny rebuilt w/ new parts for $2300.
    3.) Get a new car.
    I bought the car new and still like it. Engine is in good shape.
    Any recommendations?

For 300.00 dollars I can’t see why you would want a used one that may also have problems soon. Your vehicle’s value with a bad transmission is low so fixing it is the first move. Then decide if you want to acquire a new vehicle . I would ask what kind of warranty the rebuilt has.
