Has anyone experienced the failure of automatic trunk release? My dashboard release button and key fob do not open the trunk. I HAVE accessed the valet button in the glove box as stated in the manual. I recently had the car into the dealership for a major repair which included the removal of both engine and transmission and the release stopped working immediately afterward. If anyone has experienced this same problem please advise on how it was resolved and the cost of repair?
Have you asked whoever did the repair work if they will fix it. It is the kind of thing that is easy to miss after that kind of work. Give they a chance to prove they really want to do a good job.
