trunk will not open, either with remote or with button in dash. Keyless remote, works fine with door locks, etc. Tried holding remote trunk button down for three seconds, did not work, likewise for dash button.

Did you allow them access to the vehicle for diagnosis?
First check for power to the release solenoid while pushing the trunk button.
I’m too cheap to let dealer look at it. I will check power to release solenoid after I find it. Will get back to you. Thanks
Check the wires that go from the body to the trunk for a break.

I’m sure the guys at the dealer have a pretty good idea of what’s wrong and how to fix it. They would probably go right to the problem, test and verify, and tell you what’s wrong. And they certainly deserve to be paid for their experience and effort.
