clutch went out car quit pulling it would go in gear but would not go forward or back. the speedometer would move when you let off the clutch in gear, changed clutch NO grooves left on it at all it was bad. backed up out of the driveway took it down the road went through all 5 gears and then all of a sudden it just did the same thing and wouldn’t move forward or revers but still the speedometer would move???
It sounds like the problem is in the transmission rather than the clutch. Something has to be turning in the transmission for the speedometer to register. But the movement isn’t getting from the clutch to the wheels. Take the car to a transmission shop and have it checked out.
