I bought the car several years ago with it throwing the code (C2205). I replaced the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor and brought it to the dealer to have the sensor calibrated, but its still presenting the code. Any suggestions?
Of the “frequently reported fixes”, my guess would be the clockspring. No need to guess though, any good shop should be able to narrow it down by scan tool diagnosis or probing test points. What did the dealer shop who did the initialization suggest?
Maybe it’s not the sensor. Next step would be to find someone with a scanner that can read the sensor values and find out where the disparity lies. It could be; sensor defective, sensor damaged on install, not clocked properly, not initialized properly, wiring to control module or the control module itself.
