Steering angle

I replaced the elec steering motor on my 08 equinox. It’s under dash attached to column. Now I have a stabilitrak error. I do not have an abs error. I got a code reader that does steering angle calibration. It says center wheel. Turn wheel more then 90deg. Recenter wheel. Code reader then says my angle is -224 deg. And will not proceed to next step. Is my steering angle sensor fubar?
Car drives fine. Steering is fine. But I have service stabilitrak message now

You replaced the steering motor, but not the PSCM? hmmm … Have you tried a Tech2 or Tech2Win scan tool?

I’m just a knucklehead diy’er with no Equinox ps experience.

Did you replace the steering sensor with assist motor? If you can see the steering angle value in real time with your scan tool, does it change when you turn the wheel?

I changed everything in pic. When I start steps it says angle is “0”. I turn wheel 90deg and back to centered and it says 227. I went to steering angle data and it was not updating. Or changing as I turned wheel.
The sas procedure says do step 1-2 3 and so on. It does not show you live data. You have to go to another screen settings to get data.

Dang. I tossed old steering motor. This summer. I’d like to put it back. Maybe I could resolve issue with original parts.
