Are the current starter replacements (remanufactutred)for a 96 suburban,5.0l, LT,1500,2wd come without the original heat shield and a larger soleniod to compensate for the shield or did I get the wrong replacement?
Perhaps. You may want to double check that, making sure the one you have is specifically for your configuration of vehicle. The Chevy dealer’s parts department can look up the correct part number based on your VIN number.
