I’ve got a 1998 buick century,when you turn the ww blades on and then off the wiper arms do not park at the bottom of the w/shield,but remain at about a 60 degree angle to the w/shield.How do I get to the wiper motor,it’s not on the fire wall?

I had a 1998 olds intrigue that did this a couple of times and I found out that if I left the key on and got out and lifted the wipers and helped them park and they would work normally after that.
