Water in floor mats

Hi,

Have a 2004 VW Jetta that collects a lot of water to the driver and passenger mat every time it rains. Car has never had any major repair. Water on passenger side appears to drip down near glove box. However glove box does not collect any water. Driver side water appears to come down near fuse box and to hood handle. Any ideas on how to stop the water rush in the car???

Have someone check and clean the sunroof drain tubes.

Three likely problems:

  1. Clogged sun roof drain(s)

  2. Clogged A/C drain (Usually only on the passenger side)

  3. Clogged vent drain (the drain for the area under the grill in front of the windscreen.
