All the calls are duplicates, no new calls for a while now.
Texases is correct. The calls are all from the past now. The Car Talk team announced their retirement as of this past October. Ray continues to provide some topical content, like on this past weekend’s show Ray referred to the SuperBowl teams being coached by two brothers.

Good catch about the woman whose husband is “into rocks”. SHE sounds like a great lady to love a guy like that and honor this desire he has. This world would be a better place with more couples like that!
If you listen carefully, you’ll notice that all the calls are about cars which are at least 10 years old, some much older than that, yet they seem to have unusually low miles on the odometer. It hardly matters that these shows are all repeats, they’re still fun to listen to!
If you listen to their programs on XM or Sirius satellite radio, the date of the original broadcast is displayed on the digital readout on your audio system. The dates of the shows that I listened to over the past couple of days were from 1997 & 1998.
Ergo…anyone reacting to a “recent” show is likely reacting to a question about a car that was sent to the crusher many years ago.
