VW Polo - Front Speaker Static

Hi,

New car owner here. 2018 VW Launch Edition Manual Polo AWZ. Recently started hearing static/crackling noises from my front left speaker. Have not installed any sound systems so everything stock. Speaker in question is pictured below. I’d like to try fix this but not sure what part to be looking for and how I’d get access to the speaker in question.

Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

I have no direct knowledge, but the trim that covers the speaker usually just snaps off. Search for hidden fasteners to be sure. Remove trim from left and right speakers and swap speakers. If you now get static from the left side, you know that there’s a wiring problem or problems with the head. If the right side now has static, your speaker is bad.
