Variable Speed Limit signs to be posted along I-70 in Colorado high country

In Wednesday’snow a sedan did a 360º. Ain’t hit nothin’, so OK.
Pickup did a 180º to the right shoulder. Driver waited until everyone passed, then did a U
and joined the end of the line.

There are variable speed signs on I-95 around Fredericksburg, VA. It’s not so much for weather but traffic conditions.

Like those signs are anything new. And only a 4 mile stretch.

Idiots

Seems like a good idea, esp for certain roads where there’s a clear correlation between traffic & weather conditions and accidents. You may have encountered the soft drink vending machines that vary the price by how hot it is. That also seems like a good idea, gives the vendor the incentive to keep the machines fully stocked even in hot weather. If you are driving down the road & spot a vending machine & decide you’d like a nice cold coca cola but the vending machine price is too high, no worries, there are many sources for fixed-price soft drinks in the USA.

And just where have you seen that ?

Surprised that the signs are not either side of the Eisenhower Tunnel where it seems there are more accidents due to speed in slippery conditions.
