2005 Nissan Murano. There is a cable attached to the spare tire mount that is located under the flooring inside the hatch part of the vehicle. What is it for? I have been told it’s related to the speaker system and also told it’s related to the tire pressure sensor system. (I thought those sensors were part of the wheels themselves.) Thanks.
I would be very surprised if the Owner’s Manual did not discuss this information.

If you lower the spare tire a bit and a warning light comes on, that may be what the wire is for. It might also be connected to the signal reciever for the TPMS.
It’s got nothing to do with tire pressure. That’s the cable for your subwoofer, which sits inside the spare tire.
