My turn signal works fine, the indicator light shuts off after I make my turn, the clicking works, BUT the clicking continues after the light turns off. It’s driving me crazy!
Perfectly normal for that year, make and model car.
I had the same problem with my 2000 Chevrolet Blazer back in Feb. 2005. It was the multifunction switch (turn signal, wipers, cruise control) on the steering column. There was a recall on the switch for my year Blazer but it had been done already. The part was about $200, I installed it myself. I’m guessing it would be another 2 or 3 hundred for labor. An internet search showed this to be a problem with other GM products such as Pontiac. You could also try spraying some electrical contact cleaner into the switch, that fixed mine for 3 days, perhaps you will be luckier.
If you have a GM product, a dealer can look up any recalls for your vehicle based on the VIN number. It would be helpful to include the make, model and year in future posts.
