I have a 2002 jeep liberty ,2years ago chrysler recalled it for lower balljoint separation.they were replaced.now i have a constant sqweaking on my left front.theirs now were to grease the frontend anywhere.so am i going to blow my upperball joint cause of the added strain,or is there another recall on this?
One recall is all you get. Just because they are making noise doesn’t mean they are falling apart. Have them inspected to be sure. Perhaps a grease fitting can be drilled in somewhere to get some grease on them.
Find out for sure if it’s a ball joint first.
If it is, find out if there are any TSBs that postdate the recall notice. You may luck out.
Zerk fittings can be added, as Uncle T suggested, but should not be needed.
