I have a Ford Aerostar with about 100,000 miles and the transmission has started missing at times. It happens when I shift into drive from reverse and after stopping at stop signs etc… the van acts like I have shifted to neutral for a few seconds and then it “catches” and goes. Any ideas for how to correct this would be appreciated. Thanks!
When was the last time the fluid was changed? Do you have any leaks? Have you checked the transmission fluid level? What you describe is often a symptom of low fluid level.
