Does anyone know how to change the transmission oil and filter on a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox?
GM specifies that a fluid exchange machine be used to change the fluid in the transmission. There’s no transmission filter to service.

Does it look like there’s a transmission oil pan you can drop?

It does have a filter but like Tester said, it is not serviceable without removal of the transmission.
Important note on these transmissions. Be very careful refilling the transmission. There are two plugs on the side of the trans which look identical. One plug is for refilling the trans, the other plug is used as an anchor for the intermediate band. If you remove the wrong plug, you will spring the band then bye bye 2nd gear. The ONLY way to fix this problem is to remove the transmission, open it up and re hang the band. I have had several of these cross my bench over the years from the fast lube places of course.
