I wanted to buy cheap,steel rims for our 2010Honda CRV in order to mount real snow tires. I found out the extra costs because of TPMS sensors and recalibration. If I run these tires/rims without sensors, will that disable the traction control?
The TPMS sensors only monitor tire pressure. The Tire Pressure warning light will probably be on constantly, but nothing else should be affected.
It will light the TPMS on the dash. You should read this link on a discussion about that:
