i have a 1997 nissan pickup.is there anyway to test the coolent fan clutch.
When cold, engine off, you should be able to move the fan easily with your hand. Engine hot and off, it should be harder to move.
The FSM says to check for rough operation, oil leakage and bent bi-metal. Not much to go on. Its done with the clutch off the engine. Try my way first.
