what are the signs of a bad coolent fan clutch.
Either the coolant fan doesn’t come on when it should, or the coolant fan never shuts off.

Grab the fan and try wiggling it, There should be no play in the fan. If there is it could be the fan clutch or a worn water pump bearing. With the engine cold, try spinning the fan by hand. It should spin where 3-4 fan blades rotate by before stopping. If the fan is hard to spin the fan clutch is locked up.
