The stock, alloy wheels (16 x6)on my car are all badly dented, which prevents me from balancing them properly. I’d like to replace them with a set of used, steel rims, but since Mazda never made steel rims in this size, they’re pretty hard to come by. Many other cars seem to be stocked with 16x6.5 wheels with the same bolt pattern and offset. Are they interchangeable? Any other ideas for finding used steel wheels that will fit the car and tires I have?
What year? Some came with 15" rims, those would be better if you’re denting your 16s. Go to Tirerack.com, see if they have steel wheels in either size for your Protege.
