I’ve had to replace the keyless entry in 2002 Aerio three times. It works for a while then stops. Anyone had this problem. Could it be short?
Have you tried new batteries? Could be the dealer was taking advantage of you. Also, clean the contacts for the batteries with an eraser before putting new ones in.
I had the same problem when I first got mine (2003). The key remotes would die and would not take a new battery. I had the keys replaced three times because the dealer told me there was a factory defect. They must have gotten it right at one point because I have now had the same remotes for about 3 years without incident.
