I have a 2003 Subaru Outback Wagon. When I press either button on the key fob nothing happens, except that the red LED lights for a few seconds. I replaced the battery in the fob–still nothing except the LED. I tried to reprogram the transmitter but the car won’t enter the re-program mode.
Is there any easy way to tell if the problem is the fob or something on the car itself? I ask because I can easily buy a new fob fro the web.
But since I can’t get the car to enter the re-program mode, I suspect the problem is not the fob but something on the car.
Any ideas?
