I have a 1987 Toyota Corolla with 204,000 miles on it. The rear passenger strut “groans” when ever it moves. Other than the “groaning” it does not seem to cause me trouble. How urgent is it that I replace it any time soon?
Sure it’s the strut and not a bushing or spring???
Struts don’t groan. It must be something else, nearby.
It isn’t an emergency but it is good to change them now and then. It may be a good time to get that new car too. Once we let our cars go for five years, our motivation to fix them goes away too.
