Hello -A while ago my clutch started to stick. It seems to shift fine (no grinding or resistance) but after the shift the clutch sticks right above the engagement point. At the same time my cruise control quit working. Any advise?
Do you mean that your pedal is sticking at the top of its travel or that the clutch isn’t fully engaging?
A broken or missing clutch pedal return spring would explain both problems…
Seconded. Your cruise control checks to see if the clutch is depressed, and if it is, will not activate, and will deactivate if it’s already running.
Thank you so much for responding. The car is scheduled to go to the shop on Tuesday. Is it okay to travel 100 miles between now and then?
