Hi all, my clutch pedal has started squeaking every time I step on it (seems to work fine otherwise). If I hit it with WD-40, is there any risk of lubricating something that shouldn’t be lubricated? Thanks!
If you can find out where the squeak is coming from, you can try lubricating it to make the squeak go away. For future reference, WD-40 is not a lubricant. It is a water displacer. If the squeak is at a pivot point on the clutch bracket, you could try some lithium grease. It will work a lot better that WD-40. Try not to use an excessive amount to keep it off your carpet.
Thanks…I’ll see if I can find the lithium grease!
