dear car talk discussion group,
about two years ago the speedometer needle on my 1998 ford escort suddenly pointed to zero (0) while I was on the interstate traveling at 60 mph. Over the next several months the speedometer needle would alternately function properly; then not function at all by pointing to zero (0) while the car was in motion. Now, two years later the needle is permanantly not functioning. while the car is in motion. Any handy suggestions for repair?
